Damascus denies involvement in Reyhanli car bombings
Damascus has rejected Ankara’s accusations that the Syrian government is behind the double car bombings in Reyhanli and called for a joint investigation of the attacks, TASS reported.
Commenting on the bombings, Syrian Information Minister Omran Al-Zoubi said that this was the price Syrians and Turks had to pay for the policy pursued by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Cabinet.
On May 11, two car bombs were detonated in the Turkish town of Reyhanli off the Syrian border, killing more than 50 people.
Syria condemned the bombings and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
