Police arrest 5 more in New Orleans shooting
Police have arrested 5 more people involved in the shooting incident in New Orleans. Thus, the total number of detainees reaches seven, local media reported.
Earlier, city police arrested 19-year-old African-American Akein Scott and his 24-year-old brother Sean.
Four of the detainees were arrested on charges of harboring Akein Scott and accessory after the fact.
19-year-old Monique Pepe was booked with being an accessory, as well as on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, heroin and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
The shooting on May 12th injured 20 people. Originally, 19 people were reported injured in the gunfire that erupted during a second-line parade. Three people are still listed in critical condition.
Immediately after the attack the FBI announced that it was not a terrorist act.
