Istanbul-Armenians start church pilgrimage
Several Armenians of Istanbul are said to be conducting a pilgrimage to different Armenian churches across the country.
According to the Turkish Haberler, they scheduled tour envisages tours of the Armenian churches in Kesariya, Iskenderun and Hatayi. The pilgrims’ first stop in Kesaria was the St. Gregory the Illuminator church which hosted a holy mess for them.
The ceremony was also attended by Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan, who characterized the city as one of the cradles of Armenia’s Christianization.
